I used to think that dreaming that I’m dreaming was pretty neat.
But dreaming that I’ve fallen asleep in some public place and need to wake up and forcing myself awake to find myself at home in the middle of the night is irksome. Getting back to sleep isn’t always easy.
I’ve come to appreciate how watching movies and television has shaped my dreaming. Some of my dreams are animated cartoons. Others have background music: soundtracks.
What random experiences collide in the creation of some dreams is mighty baffling. Last night I dreamed about someone named Zone Van Zone, Playboy of the Fourth Dimension and his pal Scarlette Harlette, Girl with the Best Boob Job in the Universe. It was a cartoon.
