This afternoon we were finally able to finish watching the Sex & the City videos we'd rented before the ice storm hit NC, check email and read in comfort.
I didn't find losing electricity humbling, enlightening or edifying. Nor was it horrifying. Felt mostly like a prolonged, tedious chore.
The most demanding part was coping with Charles. I can take major inconvenience in my stride but for him it feels like persecution.
Now to get caught up on my sleeping.
