Continuing my Live Journal extracts.
The amount of fun you get to have is all a matter of your expectations and your grip on reality. I actually think I am getting the two to be somewhat congruent.
Unless you are incredibly gifted (a rare level of talent defeats norms) or rich (money may not buy happiness but the simulacrum isn't to be despised) that is as good a goal for life as I can imagine.
