Rice Queen is gay slang for men who are attracted to guys of Asian descent (it may apply in a larger context, I’ve only encountered as described).
I’ve been watching this develop in the background for a couple or years or so now.
When watching an Asian movie - mostly martial arts - I find myself paying slightly more attention to female protagonists.
When watching in general if there’s an Asian or Asian American lead actress or actor I focus on their surface in a way I never would have before.
Not that I’m getting all hot and sweaty. It is very detached. An increased focus, noting more.
Maybe in a year or two it will become a perversion.
