COPD and Liquids

If you suffer from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder you are warned to not drink too much cola, coffee, tea - any liquids. Against all logic I have to struggle to obey this injunction.
Oddly since my first hospitalization last year I’ve had a terrible craving for soda and fruit juice. That is what caused the second hospitalization.
The other day I found myself so weak and feeble it was frightening.
I realized I’d made a gallon and a half of soup and eaten (drank with a spoon) most of it. And had three pots of tea. Far more than the 64 ounces I was admonished to limit myself to.
I kept myself in bed for the most part and upped my diuretic (Torsemide). And drank only a few sips of water. My feeling of well being was restored.
Must obey doctor’s orders. This time anyway.
