Just today at the shop a book we'd shipped to a prison was returned buy the masterminds who run it. The reason? Books must come directly from the publisher, no used books allowed. We sold the book $3.50, from the publisher it costs $20.
So it isn't a huge surprise a gay man in a federal prison isn't allowed to exchange letters with his lover.
Kerry Dean Shotsberger, who is serving a sentence at the Federal Correctional Institute-Loretto for bank fraud, claimed that his 18-year relationship with his partner, who is jailed in the same prison, was tantamount to being a common-law couple.
